Wisbech Report and Interview

An encouraging performance, but no points to show for the lads endeavours.

The new look Bulls made the three hour journey to Wisbech Town on Saturday for the opening game of the league campaign.

The squad of 16, included 10 players making their debut at Step 5 and three x 17 year olds and three x 18 year olds. On a very warm day, neither side created much in terms of goal scoring opportunities, and a 85th minute winner was scored by Leon Mettam, the Wisbech Town Manager. Liam Tomlinson came close in the final minute with a shot that whistled past the post as the Bulls threw the kitchen sink at Wisbech attempting to secure at least a point.

Overall, a good start performance wise against a team that played at Step 4 last season and encouraging signs from our team. Joint Men of the Match Alex Bartholomew and Adam Bratley, who were tremendous throughout.

See the Wisbech winner, was it offside, who knows, no VAR at this level !

Hear the thoughts of of Joint Managers John Stancliffe and Spencer Fearn.
