Bulls Defeated by Leicester Nirvana in Wet Conditions

AFC travelled to Leicester in what proved to be tricky conditions, with the Bulls facing a difficult afternoon in the wet weather.

The result marked the Bulls’ fourth defeat in the league this season, with the side having earned four points from their opening five games.

The game started badly for the Bulls, who struggled to gain a foothold in the contest during the opening stages.

The first half proved to be a frustrating affair for the Bulls, who struggled to find any real rhythm or impose themselves on the contest. Clear-cut chances were few and far between, with much of the game being played in the middle of the park as neither side produced much quality in the final third.

Afterwards, the gaffer described the performance as being like “going into war without helmets”, as he struggled to hide his frustration with the team’s recent displays and lack of consistency.

The second half started in much the same way, with the Bulls once again struggling to adapt to the difficult conditions and unable to build any sustained momentum.

Leicester Nirvana opened the scoring with a superb curling strike that gave goalkeeper Hubbel little chance.

It was the kind of effort that even the very best keepers would have struggled to keep out.

Moments later, Liam Mays was shown a red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity as the last man, leaving the Bulls with ten men.

Tott completed the scoring with a well-worked goal, rounding off a disappointing performance from the Bulls.

The Bulls will not have long to dwell on the defeat, however, as attention quickly turns to Monday’s Boxing Day fixture when they host Sheffield FC. It provides an immediate opportunity for the lads to respond and put a difficult afternoon in Leicester behind them.
