Bulls take Stags in heated affair.

Mansfield Town visited the Forest Town Arena on a scorching hot summers day, goals from Sam Pipes and Striker Luke Walker secures the impressive preseason win.

Before the game got started, We observed a minutes silence for Evie Wilson who sadly passed away last week. Everyone at AFC Mansfield would like to pass on our condolences to the Wilson family.

The Bulls started brightly controlling the ball and it wasn't too long before the first chance of the game came, as Bulls striker Luke Walker finds himself in a fair amount of space and fires off a shot which is hit directly at Stags keeper Owen Mason.

With the Bulls finding their stride, the first goal of the game came on the 20 minute mark.

A lovely bit of inter-play resulted in a lovely ball from the day's captain captain Kian Sketchley which finds Sam Pipes who had

no trouble finding the back of the net.

AFC Mansfield searched for a second, Kacper Rajter's long ball from deep had no trouble finding Sam Pipes on the wing who hits a cracking ball to find Skechley who forces another great save from the Stags keeper to keep the visitors in the game.

Just over forty was played before the Bulls found the second goal of the game, as Luke Walker scores a fantastic goal, with the striker finding himself in a pocket of space he turns and twists and let's go of a shot which sails past the Stags keeper.

The Stags responded well after the break with them seeing a lot of the ball as it was evident both sets of players was tiring due the searing heat.

Stags continued to grow in the second half, a shot from distance

saw the ball hit the post and roll of play much to the relief of the Bulls keeper.

The Bulls continued to hold firm with the referee blowing his whistle seeing out a pleasing result.

We are next in action on Tuesday night (20th) has we make a short trip over to Rainworth MW with a 19.45PM Kick-Off
