Bucko "pleased" with progress with the U21s despite results.

Updated: Oct 21, 2020

Phil "Bucko"Buxton and Wayne Clarke's young Bulls are set to host Dronfield Town under the lights at the Forest Town Arena.

A mixed start to their league campaign highlighted by the Bulls 7-0 home win over Staveley Miners Welfare.

Joint Manager Phil Buxton was in a optimistic mood ahead Thursdays clash as he spoke to BullsTV.

"There has been some indifferent results so far this year, the main aim of this year is to develop players that we bring into the club.

We've have already had one player who has come through the system and into the first team fold".

Sam Pipes came through the U21 ranks and was a part of the Bulls 5-0 convincing win over Garforth Town replacing Jordan Annable in the 71st minute.

"That should be the motivation for the other players to do well in the U21's and make the step up themselves, Results wise we have had a very good result and 2 poor results but the development of the players and togetherness of the squad is coming along nicely and will only be a matter of time before it all comes together.

The most important part of this year is that the club continues to develop off the field and with the U21's now in place the future can only be a bright one".
