The Bulls delivered another positive performance away at table toppers Heanor Town yesterday and secured another point. 18 year olds Freddie Pitts started after signing from Notts County in midweek.
The Bulls started brightly playing some excellent football and Hardwick was brought down in the area and Ackroyd smashed home the penalty 1-0 on 18 minutes. The Bulls then gave away a penalty which was converted by Sleigh on 35 minutes. 1-1 at HT.
A dazzling run by 17 year olds Ishaq Bouheraoua where he beat two players led to him being fouled in the box and up stepped Ackroyd again to convert the penalty on 48 minutes, 2-1.
Next came a contender for own goal of the season as a clearance from Mears looped over Warhurst 2-2. But the Bulls reacted postively and after coming close on several occasions it was Hardwick who rounded the keeper and slotted home on 78 minutes, after a fantasic through ball from 17 year old Mo Barre 3-2. However, the joy was shortlived as Heanor hit the Bulls on the break and Lewis Rourke's 81st minute goal ensured honours were even.
Average Age of the Squad today: 19.64 years of age.
Attendance: 79
