Two out of two for ruthless AFC

Ross Duggan scored his second brace in a row as AFC beat local rivals Clipstone 4-2 in an entertaining second pre-season friendly.

The hosts took an early lead, but by half-time Matt Chatfield's side had once again turned the game in their favour to lead 3-1 at the break, thanks to Duggan's double and a second goal from two outings for fellow newbie Jack Warwick.

Brett Lucas, who netted a superb free-kick in the first friendly against Harworth, also continued to get on the scoresheet with the Bulls' only goal of the second half.

Clipstone later hit back, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback as AFC's clinical finishing earned them another positive result in front of 105 spectators.

The busy pre-season schedule continues on Saturday, when the Bulls visit Hall Road Rangers for a 3pm kick-off.
