Following the takeover of the club by the North of England Football Academy, AFC Mansfield are delighted to announce the appointment of joint-managers Spencer Fearn and John "Stan" Stancliffe.
Fearn, who is now also a co-owner of the club as the NEFA took 92% of control of the Bulls, joins the club with bags of experience, having coached for the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and has managed Frickley Athletic and Maltby Main. Fearn is also the head of academy at the NEFA, whilst also having previously held leadership positions as a Chief Executive at Stockport County and East Stirling FC.
Stan is a UEFA B licensed coach with previous experience at the likes of Maltby Main, who he managed last campaign and led to the Sheffield Senior Cup final, but has also held positions alongside Fearn at Frickley Athletic too.
Ben Nicholson has also joined the backroom staff as a coach, having previously coached at Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Chesterfield and the NEFA.
We welcome both Fearn and Stan to the club with open arms, alongside the NEFA at an exciting time for the Bulls.
