REPORT | Marske United 3-1 Bulls

Mark Ward's side were well beaten up in North Yorkshire as a Jack Blackford double ensured the points were staying in Marske.

Blackford hit the back of the net twice within the space of three first-half minutes, edging the Seasiders ahead on 13 minutes via the woodwork before coolly slotting past White for his second.

It could have been a record hat-trick for Blackford, but on 19 minutes he fired wide.

The Bulls began to recover after a 30-minute battering from the hosts but still struggled to test Robert Dean in the Marske net.

AFC put more pressure on their hosts in the second half but suffered a sucker-punch blow when Jamie Owens converted for Marske on the counter-attack.

The visitors responded instantly through Ellis Wall, who forced the ball home off the woodwork from a tight angle.

But Marske were in no mood for giving up their lead, and held on to earn their fifth win from six league outings.
