AFC fell to a third win on the bounce in all competitions as ten-man Belper Town came out on top in a frustrating game for the Bulls.
Danny South headed the hosts ahead after a goalless and uneventful first half, and despite losing Alex Peterson to a second yellow card on the hour mark, the Nailers nailed on a deserved three points through Derry Robson's late strike.
The first chance fell to Mark Ward's side, as Annable's switch across to Charlie Dawes allowed the winger to cut inside and into the Belper penalty area, but his first-minute strike was well blocked by the hosts' defence.
Nathan Curtis had the first real chance for the Nailers with almost ten minutes gone, viciously volleying Danny South's flick-on just over Jason White's crossbar.
The best chance of the half, however, came when Alfie Thompson's superb ball across the AFC goalmouth somehow went without a single Nailers touch.
Belper stepped it up a level in the second period and were able to materialise their dominance, as Danny South headed home Craig Nelthorpe's pinpoint cross.
The Bulls then were given an opportunity to get back into the game, as Alex Peterson's trip on Charlie Dawes gave referee Hristo Karaivanov no choice but to show him a second yellow card on the hour mark.
Mark Ward's side should really have been level and were left frustrated when Sebastian Malkowski brilliantly tipped Ollie Fearon's header over the Belper crossbar.
Fearon got his head on the subsequent corner, but again was denied by the Nailers stopper who caught his attempt with ease.
With just six minutes remaining, the hosts dealt the Bulls with a sucker-punch blow as former AFC man George Milner fed through Derry Robson who fired low into White's bottom corner.
