PREVIEW | Yorkshire Amateur (H)

The Bulls face one of their toughest tests yet as in-form Yorkshire Amateur visit the Forest Town Arena tonight for a 7:45pm kick-off.

AFC will be hoping to put an end to their six-game league winless streak, which was extended by a 1-0 defeat to Bridlington at the weekend.

Currently third from bottom, Matt Chatfield's side could rise as high as 13th if they snatch all three points.

Last Time Out

Saturday saw the Bulls provide yet another strong performance against currently one of the league's better outfits - this time Bridlington Town - but despite striking the woodwork twice and other key chances going their way, they came home empty-handed from the East Yorkshire coast.

Joe McFayden nodded home a simple conversion from a cross on 18 minutes whilst Ross Duggan got the better of Seasiders 'keeper Hitchcock but not the woodwork, before debutant Grant Ryan was denied one-on-one by the spirited stopper.

The Opposition

Tonight's visitors currently stand as one of the most formidable in the division, as Yorkshire Amateur have taken 16 points from just seven outings.

Only Garforth Town have managed to get the better of the Ammers in a league fixture so far, and they could leap up to fifth position with a victory and still with two or three games in hand on their rivals.

Amateur have very much enjoyed being on the road this season, too, having won all four away league fixtures, scoring 14 and conceding just twice in the process.

Team News

Nicky Darker remains out of the Bulls squad, serving the second of his three-game suspension after receiving a red card in the FA Vase win over Hanley Town.

Further team news to be confirmed.
