PREVIEW | Wisbech Town (H)

Saturday is gearing up to be one of the biggest contests of the season, as the Bulls host relegation rivals Wisbech Town at the Forest Town Arena.

A 3-0 defeat at promotion-chasing Brighouse Town put a stop to AFC's four-league game unbeaten run and unbeaten start to 2019, but the Bulls will be looking to reignite their upsurge in form when they host the Fenmen.

Though the Bulls are out of the East Division relegation zone, they are just one point above the foot of the table, but a win over Wisbech could nudge AFC three points into safety.

They would do well to leapfrog Saturday's visitors - however - as the Fenmen's superior goal-difference would most likely keep them in their current position.

THE OPPOSITION

Like AFC, Wisbech are newbies in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League East Division, having come up from the United Counties League Premier Division as runners-up to Yaxley.

The Fenmen will be looking for revenge on Saturday as well as three points, as the Bulls came out on top the last time these two sides met in the Integro League Cup first round.

The only real difference between the two teams so far has been that Wisbech have converted more games into draws, with both sides so far winning a meagre five games from 22 outings.

TEAM NEWS

The only injury concern for Rudy Funk remains defender Jack Broadhead, whose first-team hopes for this season remain obscure due to a fractured leg.

The gaffer has all other options to choose from for Saturday's big fixture.
