PREVIEW | Staveley Miners Welfare (A)

The Bulls make the short trip across the M1 to face Staveley in their second Toolstation NCEL Premier Division fixture.

The tie at Inkersall Road kicks off at 3pm.

AFC will be hoping to make it two wins out of two in the league after defeating Knaresborough Town 2-0 on the opening weekend.

Last Time Out

It was plain sailing last time out for Matt Chatfield's side, as they cruised past Sleaford Town with a record 7-0 Emirates FA Cup Extra-Preliminary Round win to set up a tie with Heanor Town in the next round.

Ross Duggan ran the show with an incredible five goals on either side of the break, including a sensational 20-yard pile-driver, whilst Luke Walker bagged his first of the season just 30 seconds after the interval.

Heanor, who strangely were also 7-0 victors at Radford, will host the Bulls next weekend in what should be a spectacular fixture.

The Opposition

Hosts Staveley too have enjoyed an unbeaten start after two games of the new season, taking a respectable draw from Eccleshill United on the opening day before two late goals from Kurtis Morley booked their place in the FA Cup Preliminary Round at the expense of Sheffield side Hallam.

With some of the best facilities in the division at Inkersall Road, the Bulls are looking forward to making the short journey across the motorway.

Team News

After missing out on the big FA Cup win, Tom Slone returns to the squad but may face competition from fellow winger Brandon Webster, who thoroughly impressed last weekend.

However, the Bulls will be missing Luke Walker and Richard Williams through injury, while Jack Warwick continues to serve his suspension for his red card against Knaresborough.
