The Bulls' NCEL League Cup campaign kicks off tonight with a trip to Rotherham.
AFC will be entertained by Maltby Main for a 7:45pm start at Muglet Lane, with the two sides entering the competition at the Third Round stage.
Matt Chatfield's side will be hoping to reach the final for the second time in their history, with the first occasion never being played due to opponents Liversedge being expelled from the competition ahead of the 2018 final.
Last Time Out
After a miserable run of four straight league defeats, a different-looking Mansfield side scored three times in the second half to dump UCL Division One leaders Long Buckby out of the Buildbase FA Vase.
Two goals in as few minutes from Brandon Webster and Luke Walker quickly opened up a comfortable lead after the break, and whilst Jimmy Smith halved the deficit late on to set up a grand stand finish, Connor McMillan punished the Bucks on the break in injury time to seal the Bulls' third round place.
The Opposition
Tonight's hosts too have not enjoyed the start to their league campaign that they would have wanted, with Main sitting in 12th in the Premier Division table.
Having won just three out nine home games in all competitions, the Miners haven't particularly enjoyed playing on their own patch.
The Bulls were the winners of the last contest between the two sides; Connor Smythe and Matt Plummer got on the scoresheet as AFC won 2-0 at Muglet Lane in February 2018.
Team News
Striker Ross Duggan become available again after he served a suspension in the 3-1 win over Long Buckby at the weekend.
Also available for selection will be Grant Ryan and Ishmael Dawson, who too were missing on Saturday due to being cup-tied.
