PREVIEW | Lincoln United (A)

With the 2018 football fixture list complete, AFC begin their 2019 with a trip to Lincoln United in the Evo-Stik NPL East Division.

The Bulls ended the calendar year on a high, as Phil Buxton's injury-time strike saw AFC clinch a crucial 4-3 win over relegation rivals Carlton Town at the Forest Town Arena.

AFC can move out of the East Division relegation zone with a win, with a potential rise as high as 16th.

THE OPPOSITION

Lincoln have enjoyed a solid season so far, with the Whites occupying the final East Division play-off spot in fifth.

United had a sour end to 2018, as a heavy 4-1 at Cleethorpes condemned the Whites to a winless run stretching back to mid-November.

The sole scorer for Lincoln in that final game was ex-Bull Lynton Karkach, who faces his former side for the first time since leaving earlier this season.

TEAM NEWS

Full-back Mark Dudley and on-loan winger Sean Whaler are Rudy Funk's two main injury concerns.

Whilst Whaler has been sent back to Northampton Town for assessment, Dudley remains a possibility for the Lincoln game and his involvement will be uncertain until matchday.
