PREVIEW | Carlton Town (A)

The Bulls hope to take one step closer to lifting the Notts Senior Cup on Wednesday night.

AFC travel to fellow Evo-Stik NPL East Division side Carlton Town for the quarter-finals of the county-wide competition, on the back of a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Cleethorpes at the weekend, Mark Ward's first defeat in charge.

With a potential cup final at the One Call Stadium on the cards, a cup run could be regarded for both sides as either a welcome break or a distraction from their battle to consolidate in the Evo-Stik League.

THE OPPOSITION

Ward's side will be hoping to sweep off the table any chances of revenge for their late win over the Millers several weeks back, in which Phil Buxton scored in injury time to earn AFC a crucial 4-3 league win.

The Millers occupy second from bottom in the NPL East Division, the spot AFC were sat in only just over a week ago, five places and five points below their Nottinghamshire neighbours.

TEAM NEWS

With Pat Lindley serving his final game of suspension on Saturday in the 3-0 defeat to Cleethorpes, he is open for selection on Wednesday night and may well see some much-needed game time.

Jordan Annable also comes back into the squad after a brief absence, and Mark Ward will have plenty of options to choose from.
