PREVIEW | Brighouse Town (A)

The Bulls look to continue their unbeaten start to 2019 with a positive result at another promotion-chasing side in Brighouse Town.

AFC are currently unbeaten in four league games, taking five points from a possible nine against high-flying opponents.

Now 17th in the East Division table, AFC are within two points of 14th, with the potential of leapfrogging Pickering Town if they find victory on Saturday.

THE OPPOSITION

Second-placed Brighouse have enjoyed a vast improvement from last season, only managing to consolidate their position in the old North Division at a lowly 17th place last season.

With the third-best defensive record in the division, Town have proven to be a tough team to break down, although 2019 lived up to its reputation for change as Brighouse were thrashed 4-0 by Ossett United on New Year's Day.

Just three points off league leaders Morpeth, Town have a real chance of promotion this season and will be looking to build on a 3-1 win at Belper Town.

TEAM NEWS

Defender Jack Broadhead's hopes of a first team return this season look bleak after confirmation of a fractured leg.

All other squad members are fit and available for Rudy Funk's selection, apart from striker Grant Ryan who made a long-term loan return to former club Hinckley for game time.
