A flurry of goals from Eccleshill United meant that the Eagles stole the three points in West Yorkshire, despite AFC Mansfield's consolation goal through Lewis Weaver.
AFC Mansfield|: Revuelta; McKenna. Sketchley, King (C), Marsden, Cropper, Pipes, Scott, Karkach, Weaver, Walker
Substitutions: Gibb, Hobson, D'Laryea, Buxton
The Bulls got off to the worst possible start in West Yorkshire, as Eccleshill's early pressure prevailed. A loose ball on the edge of the box found attacker Johnny Irving, whose low effort bobbled into the bottom corner.
Eccleshill continued to threaten with a second in their sights, as Luke Aldrich dragged a shot narrowly wide, before Suimaili Cissa had a tame effort well held by Adam Revuelta.
But following some more heroics from Revuelta to keep out a strong header by Dominic Staunton, the Eagles were once again rewarded for their early domination, as captain Talent Ndlovu had a low cross converted by Aldrich at the back post.
Heading into the second half and the Bulls had it all to do, but Eccleshill continued to take control of the match and quickly grasped their third.
Some excellent footwork from Cissa ended with a swift outside of the foot pass from the midfielder, finding Aldrich who was composed in rounding Revuelta and nicking a brace.
AFC Mansfield did look to respond immediately through Weaver, as the attacker latched onto a long-ball and bared down on goal, but his low attempt was parried by the Eccleshill goalkeeper.
The Bulls continued to search for a consolation, as a cross-shot from Kian Sketchley evaded everyone, except the post, which it hammered against before being scrambled clear.
But with time running out and both sides contesting, Buxton's side would get their consolation goal through Weaver. A deep cross found Thomas Cropper, who chested the ball into a congested box where Weaver could bundle the ball over the line.
All it would be was a consolation however, with AFC Mansfield next in action against Athersley Recreation on Saturday.
