Trebles for Duggan and Sykes in intra-squad friendly

Pre-season preparations continued last night as the first team beat AFC's U21s 8-0 in Forest Town.

Strikers Ross Duggan and Matt Sykes both grabbed hat-tricks on Tuesday night, whilst Lynton Karkach and a trialist raised the first team's tally to eight.

Despite the comprehensive score line, Bulls manager Matt Chatfield was impressed by the U21s' display at the Forest Town Arena.

"They did very, very well despite the result," he said, "there were some excellent performances out there and it was a great exercise for the younger lads against a men's side."

AFC's pre-season continues this Saturday afternoon in West Yorkshire, where the Bulls are hosted by Northern Premier League counterparts Pontefract Collieries for a 3pm kick-off.

Fans WILL be allowed into the game, but only a reduced crowd of 15% of the ground's capacity will be granted access.
