REPORT | Sleaford Town 0-7 Bulls

A ruthless and relentless AFC coasted past their United Counties League opponents as they booked their place in the Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round with a record 7-0 win.

Ross Duggan scored an incredible five goals to add to the two he netted on his competitive debut last weekend, whilst Luke Walker accounted for the other goal scored by a yellow shirt.

It took just two minutes for the Bulls to edge ahead, as a goalmouth scramble allowed Ross Duggan to eventually tap home.

Three minutes later the score was doubled, this time with a little help from defensive errors, as Duggan's cross ricocheted off a Sleaford body into the back of the net.

By the 15 minute mark the Bulls were out of sight, once again thanks to the in-form Duggan who cut past his man on the left before lacing the ball into the bottom corner.

Sleaford's first chance finally came two minutes later, as forward Tom Garrick's curled effort towards the top corner was easily held by Hugo Warhurst.

Duggan could have had his hat-trick long before the half-time whistle, somehow blazing over the bar after Jordan Annable put the ball on a plate for him from the right wing.

Jamie McGuire was next to try his luck, as he saw his dipping volley drop just over the crossbar from the edge of the area.

Not even a minute had passed in the second half when Luke Walker wrote his name on the score sheet, rounding the 'keeper to tuck home AFC's fourth after Nicky Darker found the forward.

Duggan finally secured a well-deserved hat-trick with a calm finish after he twisted and turned inside the Sleaford penalty area with the defenders unable to keep up.

With 20 minutes remaining, Duggan pelted home his fourth of the afternoon after his head connected with a wicked cross from Darker.

In the dying seconds there was enough time for Duggan to make it seven competitive goals for the season - he was allowed through on goal by Darker before he coolly slotted underneath Start to record AFC's best ever FA Cup win.
