REPORT | Bottesford Town 5-0 Bulls

AFC collapsed in similar style to last weekend as Bottesford ran riot at Birkdale Lane.

Despite a strong opening eight minutes, loose screws at the back once again was the talking point as Hugo Warhurst's error led to Jack McMenemy giving his side the lead against the run of play.

The Bulls didn't lose heart and continued to push for their first goal of the afternoon, but chances had been and gone without being taken before the half-time whistle eventually came.

Matt Chatfield's side were unable to come out of the changing rooms for the second ahlf and pick up where they left off in the first, and a quick double from Jacob Fenton widened the gap before the hour mark.

The game was well and truly over just five minutes later with Dayle Hutson bagging Bottesford's fourth of the afternoon, 20 minutes before Daniel Boulton completed the rout late on and condemned AFC to a second defeat on the bounce.

The Bulls, who are now winless in three league outings, look to rectify the thrashing next weekend when they visit Athersley Recreation.
