Opening day victory for 10-man Bulls

Updated: Aug 4, 2019

Matt Chatfield secured maximum points in his first competitive game in charge as AFC overcame their Knaresborough Town visitors.

Ross Duggan's double was enough to secure all three points for the Bulls, despite the hosts going down to 10 men in the first half.

Duggan opened the scoring on 17 minutes before Jack Warwick received a straight red card on his competitive debut with just 33 minutes played.

But a sensational Duggan overhead kick doubled the hosts' lead before the break, and Knaresborough were unable to find a way past Bulls 'keeper Hugo Warhurst.
