Rudy Funk was highly satisfied with the Bulls' point against promotion-chasers Marske United after neither side were able to break the deadlock in a 0-0 stalemate.
Although Funk's side remain winless in the league since mid-September, the gaffer feels that progress has been made over the last few weeks.
"It's tough when you are where we are, they want to keep the atmosphere more buzzing and be positive about it and they've been terrific.
"Throughout training and throughout the week there have been a lot of positives and that showed today on the pitch in the way they fought and how they worked for each other.
"I think we're going in the right direction."
Funk also felt that the men between the sticks were particularly deserving of praise after both stoppers put on commanding displays.
"Today I've got nothing but admiration for both goalkeepers, the Marske 'keeper made a couple of fantastic saves and our Jason White has done exactly the same."
