Bulls to host world's first in opening home game

Sheffield FC are Tuesday night's visitors for AFC's first home game of pre-season.

The Bulls will host the world's oldest club for a 7:45pm kick-off at the Forest Town Arena, marking their first encounter since the South Yorkshire side took all the points in a 3-2 win in November 2018.

Matt Chatfield's side have enjoyed a positive start to their preparations for the new season, thrashing Clipstone 6-1 at the Lido Ground before coming from behind to beat another local rival in Rainworth Miners Welfare, this time 4-1.

With Clipstone and Rainworth both lower-league opposition, Tuesday will provide a real test with Sheffield currently playing a division above the Bulls.

Please be reminded that the game is taking place behind closed doors, although there will be Twitter coverage whilst a live stream also remains a possibility.
