Bulls take on Sherwood in FA Cup derby

The long wait for competitive football is over as AFC take on local rivals Sherwood Colliery at the Forest Town Arena.

The Bulls host an eagerly awaited FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie which is set to welcome up to 300 supporters.

Matt Chatfield's side made it as far at the First Qualifying Round last season, bowing out to higher league side Barwell in a 4-1 defeat.

With the 2019/20 season curtailed early, tonight marks AFC's first competitive game in 174 days - or almost six months.

Due to current adaptations to FA Cup rules in line with COVID-19 guidelines, the tie will go straight to penalties if no winner is found in the first 90 minutes.

The game kicks off at 7:45pm, with tickets completely sold out.
