Although the result wasn't right, it was a special moment last night for Bulls captain Phil Buxton, who reached yet another milestone with the club.
The 3-1 defeat to Notts rivals Newark Flowserve in the FA Vase third round marked Buxton's 300th appearance for the club.
Currently the club's record appearance holder, 'Bucko' fittingly netted early on in the landmark fixture in style, sending a sublime half-volley into the top corner on six minutes.
Buxton was part of the Bulls squad to win the club's first ever trophies - both the Notts Intermediate Cup and Floodlit Cup - in AFC's debut season in 2012/13, and was also part of the Central Midlands Football League North Division title winners.
