2019/20 player achievements to remain on permanent record

The club will continue to formally recognise all player achievements and statistics from the past voided season.

The 2019/20 NCEL season was declared null and void by the Football Association as well as for all other leagues from Step 3 to Step 7 of the non-league ladder, and consequently all results and records have been expunged.

In response, AFC have decided to reassure players that all achievements and milestones reached over the past season will not be forgotten and shall remain on permanent formal record in the club's archives.

Chairman Andy Saunders said it is "important" for the club not to forget the first team's hard work over the past nine months, including an FA Vase third round appearance and a place earned in the quarter-finals of the NCEL League Cup.

The club would once again like to take the opportunity to thank all playing staff for their efforts this season, as well as everyone else involved with the club who has worked extremely hard.

Further details on plans for next season, including on the reintroduction of the U21 team, will be released in due course.
