Devised and organised by Shirebrook Town manager Kevin Gee, two representatives from eight local non-league football clubs will compete for the coveted winner’s trophy in the friendly ten-pin bowling tournament.

Supporters from all clubs are welcome to come along and cheer on their own club.

Gee said: “The event is, of course, just a bit of fun meant to get all local clubs together for an enjoyable evening, although I'm sure it will still have a competitive edge to it.”

The format is that three lanes will be used, with the scores counted up after the first game. The top six teams will go into the final, then a middle five with the bottom five playing a second game for the dreaded wooden spoon.

Gee’s 9-year-old daughter, Poppy, made the draw and the first games stack up as follows:

5. Staveley Miners Welfare – Jamie Smith

2. Rainworth Miners Welfare – Scott Rickards
3. AFC Mansfield – Mark carter
4. Scarborough Athletic -  Jason white
5. Teversal – Craig newton

All clubs are required to bowl in Home club colours and supporters are welcome to cheer the teams on
