AFC Mansfield are proud to announce that Jason Truscott has become the manager of the U19s.
His assistant will be Alex Weston and they both bring with them a wealth of experience to the club.
They will be in total control of the new section of the club but will also work closely with the 1st Team manager Micky Taylor on a matchday.
The club are very proud to be expanding the team behind the scenes to hopefully take the club to new levels.
Jason is well known by the present Chairman and Directors at AFC from their time together at Mansfield Town.

Jason Truscott is a fully qualified Sports Therapist qualified with the FA in the Treatment and Management of Injuries. He first started out as an assistant sports therapist for Hucknall Town FC. After a couple of seasons he went to work part time for Derby County Academy's medical team, assisting all age ranges from under 9's to u18's for 5 years, before giving that up to work at MTFC for nearly 3 years as first team sports therapist.
After leaving for pastures greener, Jason embarked on his first managerial post at Glapwell fc, working very hard with Alex Weston where he managed to get them within the top 6 position before departing.
Jason Truscott commented "Having worked previously with the directors of AFC, the prospect of working for them, as well as alongside Micky Taylor, Doug Etches and Graeme Rodger, the offer of first team Sports Therapist and next season's under 19's manager was an opportunity too good to pass over."

Alex Weston is a graduate in Coaching and Sports Science from the Nottingham Trent University, with a part 1 UEFA B Coaching in Football License.
Alex is a driven and well motivated individual who has worked with the Nottingham Forest Academy within testing and performance analysis protocol with all age groups from u9's to the u18's.
For his sport project over his final year at university, Alex also worked with Coventry City FC, Leicester City FC and MK Dons within testing and performance analysis aiding the coaching teams for their strategy and future sessions.
Alex Weston Commented " I am looking forward to working in the new set up and the experience ahead with AFC Mansfield u19's, as Assistant Manager to Jason Truscott."

We welcome both Jason and Alex to AFC Mansfield and look forward to working with both of them as AFC Mansfield begins building its foundations and moving forward to exciting times ahead.
