Glapwell were a big strong side and knew how to do their job. They have had a very good run recently and you can see why as they matched AFC through most of the game.
Mansfield were not at their best and with Dean Rick missing , Carl Haslam looked a little lonely up front. It was Haslam though that provided the only goal of the game when he put the penalty away when a Glapwell player was adjudged to have handled the ball.
He did hit the post after a mazy run later in the game but AFC ran out 1-0 winners.
The centre half pairing of Matt Draper and Steve Mcgurk kept the Glapwell forwards quiet all day and this was the telling factor in the game.
The mark of a good side is when they don't play well and still take the points and this was certainly the case on Saturday.
AFC Mansfield now go 9 points clear at the top but a couple of teams have games in hand so complacency must not start to creep in.
